As far as dual-stimulation vibes are concerned, the Ina by Lelo has been a favorite for 7+ years. Ina 2 delivered the same beloved options (durability, strength, rechargeable) with slight additions to girth and length of the shaft. The toy is comfortable to inserted due to the tapered head and is designed to rock back and forth for G-spot and clitoral stimulation.
Fast forward to the Ina Wave release. It is a neat concept and redesign of the Ina 2, where the bulbous internal shaft waves up and down, mimicking movements of fingers on the G-spot. Other vibes of the past have left me unappreciative of internal motion, thus I was hesitant to try internal motion again. Was I prepared to ride the wave?
What makes this toy different from the Ina 2? Aside from this amazing blue color, the first noted change from the usual Lelo products [which still contain ABS plastic parts in the handle] is that this toy is coated in 100% medical grade silicone. The second noted change is that the toy waves. Literally. Internal vertical up and down movement adds 4 additional options to the existing vibration patterns that are standard with Ina 2. Further vibration options simply for the “tail” (clitoral stimulator) round off everything nicely.
Let’s get the potentially awkward learning curve out of the way. If you are the owner of strong PC muscles, this toy may require a different approach - If your kegel muscles tense when you orgasm and you bear down around the toy, the handle will move instead of the shaft. Just imagine that you’re expecting the toy to press into the G-spot, you’re waiting for some internal magic to possibly happen and it begins waving at you. For this reason, I did not necessarily like the toy greeting me, or lacking in its ability to provide the strong pressure that I am accustomed to. Try the toy in a more relaxed state while holding the handle down with a few fingers for a different result.
Furthermore, no battery concerns! The toy remains rechargeable with 10 different vibration modes, you have 1 hour of charge time to enjoy 2 hours of exploration time. Move freely through these modes by selecting the up or down buttons. Raise and lower the intensity the same way you would with other LELO toys with the - and + buttons. To turn the Ina Wave on, simply press the center ‘on’ button and to switch it off, select the same button and hold down for 3 seconds.
Overall, this toy was middle-of-the-road - not loved or hated. It is not strong enough for my preferences internally, and the waving motion could be faster. Again, this varies individual to individual! My love for dual-stim toys remains strong, and this toy does a nice job of providing basic stimulation for those relaxed afternoons or while in the bathtub. Individuals that respond to less pressure may love the function, in which case I suggest they use it to their advantage! I did enjoy that it remained a very quiet toy versus other toys that move/rotate and seem like a pogo stick with noise levels to match.
