XXX-Mas: Surprising Facts About Holiday Sex

Posted by Secret Pleasures Staff on 12/17/2018 to Tips & Guides

The holiday season is upon us, which means folks will likely be overwhelmed with shopping, family gatherings, and other seasonal preparations. Piling all these things on top of one another can be incredibly stressful, but fortunately there is one popular holiday activity that is a tremendous stress reliever: sex!

It may not be too often that you hear sex referred to as a “holiday activity”, but the facts would say otherwise! Apparently December, and specifically the holiday season, are prime time for people to get it in! Let’s look at some stats!

As many as 50% of millennials claim they will have sex on the 25th. Unfortunately for many of them, this will mean getting down with their significant other in their childhood bedroom while they’re home for the holidays! Not the ideal situation, but as long as you keep the door locked, keep the moans to a minimum, and keep it short, you should have a good shot at avoiding detection.

And who says adults can’t play with toys on Christmas? It turns out that one-quarter of couples will spice up their bedroom by adding a sex toy or two to the mix! So if you’re planning on giving your partner the gift of pleasure this holiday season, you may want to encourage them to do some early unwrapping.

The most cringe-worthy statistic here is easily the increase in reports of “penile trauma” from injuries sustained during sex. This tells us that people are looking to get creative with their positions this time of year! Instead of just winging it, take the time to look up some road tested Christmas-themed sex positions that get your bells jingling! And if you’re one of the unfortunate ones who already injured your “candy cane”, there’s no shame in asking Santa for a little help, in the form of body safe erectile dysfunction pills. A couple of these and it won’t belong before you’re ready for another “sleigh ride”!

Remember that while having sex during the holidays may be more festive than usual, communication is still key. Whether you’re with a new partner, or a long-time love, make sure you’re being safe, respectful, and pleasurable!
