Ask A Sex Educator: Navigating Femme / Femme Relationships

Posted by Dr. Ruth Neustifter on 8/31/2015 to Ask A Sex Educator

Dr. Ruth Neustifter helps a reader navigate their first femme / femme relationship.

A few years ago I fell in love with an aggressive female. Love making was a breeze because she was the aggressor. She never wanted me to do anything.  I did learn the art of cresting the breast. Since that time, I've left that relationship and started a new relationship with a feminine woman. Love making has been more of a challenge, as we are both lesbians who have been only with aggressive women. I've tried the strap on with her and loved it; however, I am uncomfortable having her to try it on me. Any suggestions on making love to a feminine woman when you are a feminine too?

Mia 2 Vibrator

LELO MIA 2 BlackThe Mia 2 by Lelo is a small smooth vibrator with a slick, hard plastic exterior that looks a bit like a tube of lipstick and has a built in USB charging port. It’s discreet, fairly quiet, moderately strong (surprisingly so for its size) with six settings, and comes with that great Lelo warranty. It’s also waterproof, so you can take it into the bath with you and wash it easily with soap and water. It’s a pretty little toy with some nice zip to it!

Rechargeable Magic Wand

magic wand The Original Magic Wand has long been considered the Cadillac of strong vibrators, and it went relatively unchanged since it hit the US market in the late 1960s. The classic design has been recommend far and wide for all people who love vibration, and especially those with vulvas who struggle to orgasm without intense, prolonged stimulation. It has even been recommended for those with significant genital scarring from genital surgery and forced clitoral removal. It used to be called the Hitachi Magic Wand, but recently Hitachi sold it to Vibratex, and it is now called the Original Magic Wand, or just the Magic Wand for short. When Hitachi transferred the product to Vibratex we all held our breath, terrified that it might lose its magic. However, Vibratex did us proud with some mild, positive improvements to the original design. And now, they’ve introduced a cordless version which I promptly purchased from Secret Pleasures in Washington, DC in the name of SCIENCE to review for you!
